I apologize for the short notice, and the. . . [waves. a hand] Timing of this meeting.

But I've discovered how to reach a "happy ending" for this game. I've also learned about the other extra titles, much like our own, that exist in this war game.

I'd rather not wait until Monday to tell you all.

Ah, but Eichi has a gift of enhanced strength, does he not? In the odd chance that Varian is unable to make a parachute, perhaps Eichi could actually catch Evan, too.

[ he shrugs ]

It's a shame no one has the gift to fly.

[BRISTLES AS SOON AS WAVER MENTIONS EICHI-- oh he's talking about. him catching Evan. okay that's fine]

I'm actually surprised the Peter Pan title doesn't have that gift.

You and I can both heal him too.

Evan said it wasn't his gift. Weird, since he's Peter Pan. If anybody would have it, I was guessing it would be that title.

... Did you use the wishing token from the first trial? I think those were cursed.

While we're speaking about convincing the Villains and Civilians to complete their objectives, I wonder if it might be a good idea to...pose an anonymous letter directed towards the entirety of the castle.

[ he pauses in thought, arms crossed. ]

Although anonymous won't be good enough. We need to use a title that will show the rest of the Narrators that we hold some sort of...authority in the matter. In other words, we can either speak behind the titles of Beauty and Beast, or we can hide together under the singular title of 'The Historians'.

However, I do believe that it is necessary to bring the whole castle into attention of the situation. This mindless slaughter will get us nowhere but to a bad ending and we need the villains to accept their role. If we can convince them, then we may still have hope.

...It might be more convincing if we pretend to be Beauty and Beast. But if we do write as them, the letters have to look real. Messed up with a bunch of ink and everything like how they come from the other side. It'll be really bad if people find out we lied to them.

[ But "Historian" is a title he's wary of hiding behind too, despite Akechi's assurance that at least one person in the castle doesn't immediately distrust them as a group. ]

... Sanji already knows my title, gift and that I'm a Historian. I told him what I was, but I didn't reveal any of you. He didn't hate me for it.

So there's that too.

He doesn't seem like the type to be angry if we lied. We're just trying to save ourselves here, in the end.

Two of the three people that know I am a Historian are dead. [ take a guess who they were. ] The other one wants me dead because of yesterday's events.

There are risks posed with whichever option we take, of course. If they find out it came from us, then it'll paint us as liars. But if we use the title of Historians, then we may cause some sort of backlash from those that are unwilling to trust us.

The complete eradication of a single faction. The one ending that Beauty and the Beast are warning us against.

Quite true. I'll have to instruct him to not tell anyone who he heard it from, as well.

Admittedly, my second wish worked far better than my first. So perhaps you're right about that.

If we go with "The Historians" then can we offer one of us forward a spokesperson? Or is that against the rules?

[ like, even by non-well standards, don't people normally wish for something very very specific? ]

Why don't we utilize both?

We admit we are Historians, but we also claim we're passing on a message from Beauty and the Beast. Others have already received letters from them, yes? They could even write to Beauty and the Beast to confirm what we've posed in public.

I asked the Crafters and they said the tokens you earn grant wishes properly.

So. I don't think Natsuo will be in danger.

Against the rules. That's why I had Varian-san share my letter.

We cannot share our titles in public.

[disclosures]

Ugh. Fine. Okay.

What do we say to make them believe we all want a happy ending?

We're unfortunately close to that one.

It's a "happy ending." Of course people are going to want that?

They might want it, but they're suspicious of us.

We're the enforcers and we've been working in secret from the beginning.

We weren't forcing anybody to do anything, and... ugh... Is it too late to pretend we all worked alone and didn't know about each other? Until recently?

[ he hates lying and sucks at it, but this is just sort of stretching the truth? lessening the blow ]

We could lie, but I don't know if anybody would believe it.

That might be the best option we've got right now.

It would certainly pack a bigger punch. They'll believe what the Beauty and the Beast with much more ease.
