[this is absolutely the conversation Sousei wants to have now, right?]

[WELL. . . the tapestries make one thing clear that Akechi hadn't even noticed over the course of the weekend]

[there are twins in the manor]

[and upon scanning both of those profiles, he sets out to flag one of them down. how lucky of him to find the older one first! not that. . . he can tell that from a first glance]

Ion-san?

[. . . shit how to tell them apart]

Seventh replica, or ill-fated prophet?

[Akechi doesn't spend too much time mulling over the tapestries, but he is there long enough to read through each one more than once. which is a pretty good time to catch him for conversation, actually!]

['sup Nico, this detective kid is free to be approached at any time, even though he looks kind of distracted staring at his own profile]

Did they have to put it so. . . bluntly?

[so Akechi may not drink alcohol, but there is a certain drink he has found himself a bit addicted to as of late, and it may only have 3/4ths to do with the caffeine content]

[at any rate, around mid-morning on Monday, sometime after breakfast, Akechi can be found in the kitchen with one (1) mug of coffee in his hand. he sits at it thoughtfully, pensive and distant, and very much not paying attention to his surroundings. woo!]

[Akechi follows wherever Ann leads, after their encounter near the tapestries. he's well-practiced in hiding his true feelings-- in shoving what he really thinks underneath a cheery, witty and charming mask-- which makes hiding the tension lining his shoulders really easy]

[when they're alone, he's the first to speak]

Is everything okay, Takamaki?

[sometime after their encounter at the tapestries, Sousei and Akechi are destined to meet again! likely while both of them are wandering the castle, looking for an exit, or just otherwise doubling back on an already investigated area to make sure nothing was missed]

[when Akechi catches sight of Sousei, he lifts his head and nods in greeting]

Who knows how many calories you've burned just by walking the entire length of this castle, over and over again?
