Ah, it feels like we haven't had a chance to talk in a little while.

[sits up a little straighter when Ion enters the kitchen, and Ion will notice that he's steeping some tea. what good timing!!]

It has been a while, yes. I suppose we all took it easy when Dragon-san announced our vacation.

It seems so. I can't blame anyone for that. It's been good to rest.

[Just...so long as none of them let their guards down too much.]

Back to business as usual now though, I suppose. Have you been making much progress on your end?

[as the tea steeps, Akechi fetches a second cup. he doesn't even ask]

Mmm. I have. I assisted Miss Cardia with the completion of one of her objectives last week.

And yesterday's Historian meeting was quite productive

I see! That's really good news, I'm glad to hear it!

I'm afraid I don't have any information about anyone else that I could give you, myself, but...

[Read: I'm being played by a mod so I don't try very hard, so why would I even ask you about the Historian meeting, clearly it's private business.]

I did get a letter this morning and I thought you'd be interested in it.

[Ion, true to form, pulls the letter out from his robes and offers it to Akechi.]

I thought maybe it would help if we could get to know them better as people, so I wrote to them a little while ago and finally got a response.

So we really can write to them?

[what excuse does he have to not do so now?]

I wasn't sure if we'd be allowed. . .

I thought I'd just try--I didn't expect they'd actually answer, but I'm glad.

[Time to apologize to certain banished NPCs, Asketchi.]

This doesn't tell us too much about what they might know about the game, but...it's good to know that they're amiable. Ah, I wish their names hadn't gotten inked over so much.

Me, too. If they've been stuck there for a long time...they must be rather lonely. That's what I thought when I wrote, at least. I wonder what I should say about everyone...

[He's obviously going to talk everyone up like they're way better people than they actually are.]
