I apologize for the short notice, and the. . . [waves. a hand] Timing of this meeting.

But I've discovered how to reach a "happy ending" for this game. I've also learned about the other extra titles, much like our own, that exist in this war game.

I'd rather not wait until Monday to tell you all.

No. I believed Hikage-san to be one, but he denied it. Although he confirmed he had a second title after all. I believe that title is "Alchemist," based on process of elimination.

[SPEAKING OF TITLES]

There are five Historians, as you see. Two Viziers. Two Editors. One Alchemist.

[annnd speaking of Tiger and Dragon's guilt?]

Tiger-san told me that there are circumstances in which a Narrator may kill and not be considered guilty. I suspect the Editor role is one such circumstances. And since I presume Editors kill based on Tiger and Dragon's whims, that's likely why the wishing well pointed to them.

[ He frowns, because finding Dave's killer is something he's still apparently fixated on even though the rest of the castle has moved on from it. ]

I have two wishes left. Do you think it'll be worth using them to figure out who has what title?

[ He won't beat the living daylights out of the Editors. Maybe. ]

[quirks a brow and smiles a bit]

Potentially? Yes.

I can do that, then! The Vizier and the Editors? I can go to the well later today.

. . . do be careful. When I asked for the identity of a Historian, the wishing well gave me Sousei-san's facial scars.

How exactly did you word that wish, anyways? My wish just dyed Tiger's and Dragon's hair pink, so I thought I'd do something like that again.

"I wish for a clue or some other sign pointing me to the identity of another Historian that isn't myself."

[ like, even by non-well standards, don't people normally wish for something very very specific? ]

... Did you use the wishing token from the first trial? I think those were cursed.

. . . I did.

Admittedly, my second wish worked far better than my first. So perhaps you're right about that.

I asked the Crafters and they said the tokens you earn grant wishes properly.

So. I don't think Natsuo will be in danger.

That would explain it.

So long as Natsuo is safe, I think his wish is a smart idea. Depending on the identities of the Editors, we may be able to glean more information from them.
