[at least this time Akechi doesn't creep in the shadows before approaching Sanji. probably because he looks. . . pretty haggard? and worn down. and tired. though not nearly as unhinged as he was when he had that li'l public meltdown in front of Ion's glass casket]

[anyway, hi Sanji]

[Sanji's semblance of tact apparently died with Ion, but at least the chef will match him for expression. He's looking like he's seen better days, too.]

[However, his tone is much more amiable than when Akechi had talked to him yesterday.]

I find your blunt honesty a bit refreshing at times.

. . . I suppose I had-- theory, I wished to run by you. But at this point, it may have been disproven.

[And it's not even a cigarette break for once. Arms folded, he'll watch Akechi as he explains whatever he wants]

. . . earlier this week, we received a letter from Sousei-san. In it, he warned us to be wary, as there may be someone out there attempting to sabotage us.

You can imagine that neither Bunch nor I reacted well upon seeing El Melloi and Natsuo as part of the victims this week.

[he shuffles a bit, kicks at the ground, and leans his back against the nearest solid object]

We thought that perhaps there was someone or something out there attempting to prevent us from completing objectives, and steering this game towards a happier ending.

[concasse]

[Brows furrowing at all of that, and he narrows his gaze, looking off into the distance.]

A sabotager...

[There's a pause as Sanji just... mentally runs through his own personal list]

Did he give you anything else? Who he thought the person was? Why he thought there's a traitor to our happy ending?

[doublecrows]

[kiiiind of inclines his head towards Sanji when he answers]

No. Just that such a person or force may exist. That perhaps there is someone or something out there attempting to steer the game in Tiger-san's favor.

[with, ya know. killing off an entire faction]

[he shakes his head]

I believe I understand a bit better what he was referring to now, though. The Crafters-- both of them-- assured us that no such saboteur existed.

[concasse]

That's what I was told, too. I assumed if Dragon-sama vouched for it, then there was some truth to it.

I won't lie, I can't imagine who it'd be. Everyone I've spoken to is focused on keeping the factions even and getting those objectives finished.

[doublecrows]

[he folds his hands together in front of him, fingers laced]

Or, at the very least, I believe Sousei-san was targeted by an Editor. There's a chance Natsuo-san was as well.

Both of those would be on the behest of the Crafters.
