[it's not difficult to find Akechi later Tuesday evening, after they speak in the kitchen. Akechi is shuffling his way back to his room, arms folded around his elbows, shivering in the drafty castle. he's moving rather quickly, spurred upon by the slight paranoia he feels from being separated from Eichi]

It would almost feel better if they provided less, considering the situation.

[the tone shift is just a bit strange? everything they need and then some, save for any reasonable expectation of-- well, not being murdered.]

Or perhaps they truly do think living in relative comfort helps.

It helps ease day-to-day frustrations, I suppose. But it doesn't help ease the anxieties of knowing we're trapped, does it?

[milk, get! Akechi likes his made with milk, not water]

[we're just saying shirasu hasn't had it before because 1. rural enough area in the past and 2. i'm not going down another google hole over hot chocolate-- so no preference on his end, akechi can make it however he likes!]

Even being able to go outside doesn't truly ease that. I'm not certain anything will.

-but something like that is likely to lead to tensions rising, if we feel stuck for long enough.

Yes. . . you're right about that. Even the most levelheaded of people can lose their control when faced with captivity.

Trapping us here, putting information about all of us on those tapestries, not to mention the abrupt cold and the way this well seems to answer wishes...

It seems to prefer we not get too comfortable.
