[Week 1, Wednesday: Belph]
[by Wednesday, Akechi's scars and bruises have ~mysteriously disappeared~. how strange!! either way, he is seeking Belph out yet again]

[anyway he's dressed in dragon kigurumi, too. don't ask]
It's a bit chilly today, isn't it?

Yeah. Wow, what makeup are you using?

Excuse me? I'm not in front of a camera, so I'm not wearing any makeup right now.

I received the assistance of someone with a particular title. They were kind enough to offer to heal my injuries for me.
[NO MORE SCARRING YAY]

I can make the suggestion, but whether they follow through is their decision. You know how important it is for us to keep our titles, gifts and objectives a secret.

[his expression flickers, a frown turning down the corners of his mouth. for a moment he looks. . . frustrated? confused?? ah, well]
I was already ready and willing to accept my punishment.

I don't presume to understand what went through their head.

Someone who was willing to out their title to you, especially in a way that would reveal the existence of their ability to others? Either they really liked your face or they have an investment in your well-being.
no subject
Or they're just incredibly stupid.
[that's. . . harsh. but Akechi can't say the thought hasn't crossed his mind. who would out their title so easily to him, anyway?? apparently the person who healed his scars]

We'll see.
At any rate, I did have a question for you, if you have a moment.

No?
And for what it's worth, I never actually suspected you.

[he seems like he's enjoying this way too much, tbh.]

[if it were an interrogation Belph might get shot in the head--]
I wanted to ask how much you knew about the stories behind all of the listed titles we were given.
no subject
... I wouldn't call myself a fairy tale expert, and there are a few on the list I've never read, so I don't know anything about those—but I'd say I'm familiar with most of them?
no subject
Yes, I'm the same. A library would make it far easier to reach into the titles I don't know, but since we're being deprived of same, I thought I'd attempt to make comparisons with someone else.
no subject
Dunno how much help I'll be. The ones I'm missing are the more obscure ones anyway.
no subject
The reason I wished to compare notes is because I realized that some objectives and gifts matched their titles extraordinarily well. Even if you only know the gift or the objective, you can link it back to a title so long as you're familiar with the narrative from which it comes.
