[ Her voice comes out a little raw, and there's a breathy accompaniment. Her chest moves far too rapidly and - you know what? It's actually a relief not to have to hide it. Ann nearly blacked out more than once during the investigation, trying to hold her breath. ]
My lungs feel like I just ran twenty minutes in the cold. What about you?

It's possible to suffer n-non-lethal digitalis poisoning. . . it isn't pleasant, but riding out the discomfort is better than the alternative.
