[Prologue, Monday: Sousei]
[sometime after their encounter at the tapestries, Sousei and Akechi are destined to meet again! likely while both of them are wandering the castle, looking for an exit, or just otherwise doubling back on an already investigated area to make sure nothing was missed]
[when Akechi catches sight of Sousei, he lifts his head and nods in greeting]
Who knows how many calories you've burned just by walking the entire length of this castle, over and over again?

I actually admire the determination. In the end, it may be what it takes for us to get out of here.
no subject
Perhaps. What it will likely truly take is a concerted effort of everyone working together to truly get out of here. [Alive, anyway.]
no subject
You're right. It's something I intend to advocate for at every available opportunity.
no subject
Do others trust you? In this place? That will be a very key factor in convincing everyone to work together.
no subject
I'd be surprised if anyone did. We've only known each other for a few days.
[give him a few more and he'll do his best to earn everyone's trust, TRUST HIM]

no subject
I wouldn't say "earning other people's trust" is my number one goal.
But since it's a part of my number one goal, I'll work towards it as much as I can.
no subject
[When you put it that way, he can't help but be curious.]
no subject
[duh!!]
no subject
... Yes, I rather imagine that is the case for most everyone here. I suppose I should have guessed.
no subject
Did you think it might be something else?
no subject
I simply thought that you may have had something a bit more refined by this point. You seem like a bright boy.
no subject
All of the deductive reasoning abilities in the world are useless when the detective is working on limited information.
no subject
[He nods simply, but adds:]
Having a more solid plan worked out may assist in calming the others, though.
no subject
. . . there is something I would like to ask your opinion on, if you don't mind.
no subject
Regardless:]
I'm listening.
no subject
no subject
That is my suspicion.
[A beat, and with a sigh:]
I am sure they will be connected to the game, certainly--but tenuously, and in a way to confuse more than help.
no subject
[he looks thoughtful at that]
I actually wonder if they're much more important than they seem at first glance.
no subject
You believe so? In what way? [He doesn't know 90% of these titles for the record.. .he doesn't even know they're thematic.]
no subject
Why offer rewards on two fronts? Any sane person actually seeking a wish would choose to earn it through task completion, and not murder.
[a pause, before he adds]
Presuming all of them are as harmless as my own.
no subject
[Sousei nods contemplatively, but:]
I'd hesitate to assume it could ever be that easy, though that is good to know, that yours is equally harmless I was concerned others' might have been far more alarming.
no subject
But then again, I see no reason why the weekly murders and the tasks given to us would overlap.
no subject
[Yeah.
Because those ladies are psycho.]
But in truth, perhaps you are correct, and there is no actual correlation there. If that is the case, it will be much easier to push others to complete their tasks, and not to kill.
no subject
And that's why I think it's important to, at the very least, keep them in mind as we "play" this "war game." Actively striving to complete the tasks we've been given may also lead us to further answers, although I'm not completely sure how just yet]
no subject
[He hopes so.]
Regardless, I believe you should keep your task to yourself for now. Though we should foster an atmosphere of trust... it is safest to protect yourself in this way.
no subject
no subject
That is too risky a theory to begin with.
no subject
Too risky because you have yet to determine how trustworthy the other players are?
[same hat]
no subject
[Who knows, someone might be a psychopath.]
We must trust each other, and yet we are placed with strangers we could not possibly immediately trust... I see.
[It's such a stupid game.]
no subject
It's a catch-22, as they say. How. . . curious.
Well! I wonder how they expect us to react to such a situation from this point forward?
no subject
... I suspect they expect us to collapse and fight amongst ourselves and fail to trust one another.
no subject
Would you like to prove them wrong?
no subject
Yes. Of course. Their arrogance galls me, and their belief that we will be so easily defeated is an eyesore.
no subject
Ah, yes. So deep under that calm exterior, you have the heart of a rebel. [TRAITOR, AND ALL] That's rather admirable.
no subject
... Hmph, that is a matter of interpretation more than anything.
Regardless, do you disagree?
no subject
I believe spite to be one of the most powerful motivators.
[l o l]
no subject
... I suppose that is true, yes. It was not necessarily what I was thinking, but I cannot deny it.
no subject
No? [AWK] Ah. . . perhaps it's just me, then. . .?
no subject
... Perhaps. It does not matter anyway.
[He'll throw Akechi a bone there.]
We have a situation to try to figure out, and for now that is what we should focus on. Is there anything else you have to say?
no subject
At this point in time, there isn't. If I discover something in the future, would you like me to share it with you, Sousei-san?
no subject
That seems like the most logical action to take as of now. Brainstorming a solution will go more quickly with more minds working on the problem at hand.
no subject
no subject
For now? Sousei's just going to turn and go. Bye...!!]
