[Akechi is already there by the time people start filing in, his parchment sitting in his lap, quill tucked between his fingers. he doesn't say anything at first, but PRESUMING at some point he and Natsuo exchanged Historian names with each other and then told the others who was part of this group so they'd all know prior to the meeting, he nods at each one in turn]

I imagine you all have been quite busy these past two weeks?

Words are meaningless if there is no warm feeling associated with "love" accompanying them.

platonic love, maybe, but maybe the Crafters will accept nothing but Akeichi ]

I-- crying doesn't seem like anything remotely close to "love?"

[While Natsuo is here she points to herself before tapping

[She nods! That's exactly how her gift works.

Not that Natsuo would know, but she reaches up and ruffles his hair.]

[ Natsuo ducks out of the way of that hand, catching it in his and holding on tight, pleading ]

Then- can't you use it to help everybody else? Like Summer and Shirasu and all those people who got hurt?

[ Why wouldn't you spam a gift like that? ]

Because she's selfish. She hates being forgotten. The only reason she's done it is because she likes Natsuo. Natsuo likes her as a person and that's more than she can say about herself.]

[randori]

Oh...

[ She could always tell them after, but... It really isn't the same, after the fact, as if you're fishing for the thank you instead of getting what you deserve. ]

I get that. I'm always getting forgotten back home, you know? It's a really sad thing.
